8 Balla Hoop Insider Hoop Combine event Recap Part 1
Hoop Insider Events8 Balla Hoop Insider held our very first ever Hoop Combine event at Hickory High in North Carolina and were able to see some under the radar talent as well as some very known talent.
Here's who stood out:
6'3 2022 Jaden Bradley out of Cannon school is one of the top players in the 2022 class and rightfully so. The kid can do it all on the court: run a team, make others around him better, score, defend and play above the rim. Every high school coach working the event raved about his poise, character as well as his talent. I will not be shocked if by the time he is a senior, he is not only a McDonalds All-American and Play of the Year, but will be the #1 player in the class of 2022.
6'2 2021 Aisaiah Phillips of Wesleyan Christian Academy stock is about to take off. This guard can flat out score at all levels. As more colleges see him, I have no doubt college offers will start pouring in. He was the 2nd prize winner of the event.
6'0 2019 Eli Hudson was a pleasant surprise. He came into the event locked in and it showed. He did very well in drills and knocked down big time three point shots. He can defend well and is very coachable. He most definitely can play college ball. Some college will have to take a chance on him, and he definitely has grades.
6'5 2021 Corey Martin Jr the Landstown, VA product came into the event as the only out of state kid and left leaving a big time impression. He as of yet does not have a D1 offer but I can see that changing if more colleges see him in the right setting.
6'5 2020 Avante Matthews out of Atkins High in Winston Salem, NC is a strong bodied athlete that plays above the rim, rebounds and defends well. He also shows he can shoot. We look forward to seeing what level of basketball he projects. He can play either wing or stretch forward, but if he grows two more inches, I can see him as a lock to be a D1 prospect.
