How does it feel to be a part of a loaded 2022 class in North Carolina and Nationally?

I think being in such a loaded 2022 class makes it more competitive. I like competition and it makes me work harder to get towards my goal.

You’re are a deadly shooter going into your freshman season. What other parts of your game are you working to improve?

Over the summer I’ve been working on my core strength and quicker lateral movement to help with my defense and driving to the hoop more at the high school level.

What is your shoe size and favorite number to play in?

My shoe size is 13 and my favorite number to wear when I play is number 25.

What is your favorite college basketball team to watch?

My favorite college basketball team to watch is UNC Chapel Hill. 

Any offers yet? Have you taken any unofficial college visits?

I do not have any offers currently, but I was invited to a prospective camp at Queens University this past summer.

I think you could be an elite level shooting guard but do you feel comfortable playing lead point guard?

I played point guard for my school team for a couple of years and really liked it. Since I am tall, my travel teams have needed me to play bigger in most situations. I plan to work on my handles and get comfortable with leading with the ball in my hands. I think that I could be the lead point guard.

What are your personal goals this season?

My personal goals for my first year of high school basketball are to get stronger so that I am able to absorb contact when going to the rim, to play varsity as a freshman and to be a valuable asset to the team.

How was your Travel Ball season playing for Team United?

My AAU season went well. I played with Team United EYBL 2022 and we played in the Nike Made Hoops and EYBL circuit. There was a lot of great competition which I was excited about. I was able to re-energize my team in some games by hitting key three pointers to get us back into the game.

Favorite Subject in school?

My favorite subject in school is math.

Nickname your friends call you that most don’t know?

My friends and family call me D.

Biggest influences in your life?

The biggest influence in my life is my dad because he works hard everyday and worked to be in the position he is today.

Favorite NBA Player?

My favorite NBA player is LeBron James. 

How many times a week do you currently workout?

I work out about 3-4 times per week.
